Sound of the Sea is the epitome of beachfront tropical luxury.
It has 30 metres of beach frontage, and three of its five bedrooms have
expansive and unimpeded sea views. Nowhere in Bali is more beachfront than this.

unique ambience that combines beachcomber insouciance with utter luxury living
areas are beautifully sited to the beach, the sea and the sky.

fitness equipment is also available should you want something more strenuous
than long beach walks to keep in shape.
Internet access

which is yours to enjoy while you are our guest.
Swimming Pools & Jacuzzi
Sound of the Sea sits on 2500 square metres of Bali beachfront land planted in
lush tropical vegetation and gently swaying palms.

The two pools are extensive in scope too. The main infinity pool measures 20 x 5
metres for a total of 100 square metres.
There is a large 20 square metre children’s paddling pool, with a maximum depth
of 60 centimetres. It’s shaded from the sun under a thatched-roof bale.
Near the beachfront is a heated Jacuzzi designed for the enjoyment of up to six
adults.
Water
Sound of the Sea’s water is drawn from a deep well, then filtered and treated
with ultra-violet to make it completely drinkable directly from the tap. Still
and sparkling mineral waters are also available as a matter of course.
Power
The villa’s electricity is supplied by the Indonesian national power company at
240 volts. Voltage regulators ensure against current spikes. A generator is on

use the two-pin system commonly found in Europe. Adaptor plugs are available.

Every bedroom has an ISDN capable telephone. Calls between rooms don’t cost
anything. Local or international calls are charged at cost. There is a fax
machine in the office which you are welcome to use.

which is charged only USD 60 per day (8 hours).

Staff
Your Balinese staff are unobtrusive and discreet, but ever friendly and helpful.
Your butler, who acts as major domo and concierge, also manages your household
staff.
Our French executive chef helps you choose your menus, and oversees your own
sous chefs and kitchen staff.
All food, wines, beers and
spirits are charged at cost, with the exception of cellared fine wines.
Food & Beverages
The villa has an innovative and rather unusual approach to food and drinks.
We want you to feel as free in our villa as you would if it was your own.
That means that you choose what food, soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits you
want to enjoy, you set a budget, you give your butler money to cover your
shopping, and he arranges its purchase at local markets, delicatessen,
specialty shops and liquor stores. The villa management charges a 15% handling
fee for this service.
French executive chef Manuel Wendling and his team of sous chefs provide an
eclectic menu selection melding classic French cooking, nouvelle cuisine, as
well as Indonesian/Asian fusion food.
A selection of Manuel’s offerings include Fresh Tiger Prawns with Green Papaya
Salad, Butter Fish with Chorizzo Crumble, Riviera Salad “Alain Ducasse”, Nasi
Goreng, Sumac Mahi Mahi with sun dried tomatos, Babi Guling (traditional
Balinese stuffed pork).
Mouth-watering desserts such as Fresh Strawberry Millefeuille Snow Cream, Poires
Aumoniêre with Chocolate Sauce, Flan Gitan are also part of the fare.
The length and breadth of the culinary experience is not limited to the
suggested menus. You are actively encouraged to spend time with Manuel and
develop a menu that reflects your own preferences.
Common facilities
Tennis court with night lighting, 250 square metres seminar room and Fitness
equipment.
Activities
You can enjoy your time with us in many different ways…
Bali is well-known for its culture, an important part of which are dance
performances.
Many of these can be held on the beach in front of your villa. The kecak dance,
which can involve up to 300 dancers, can be arranged for you with a few days
notice. Simply ask your butler to tell you about Balinese dances which are
suitable for your own performance on the beachfront.
Sound of the Sea shares an all-weather tennis court with night-lighting, so pack
your racquets if tennis is your game.
If you’re into keeping fit, we can introduce you to a personal trainer; if you’d
like to learn to surf, an instructor can visit and teach you in the ocean in
front of the villa. For a somewhat more relaxing time, a yoga teacher will take
you for a class; and, of course, we can arrange a massage therapist to call.
Also, as a guest at Villa Sound of The Sea, you get complimentary membership of
The Canggu Club, where you will be able to enjoy a variety of sports, as well as
make use of a gymnasium, library, restaurant and pub bar. There's a large family
pool and a splash park for children.
In addition, there are literally hundreds of outside activities you can enjoy in
Bali. These might include the usual tourist outings. No visit to Bali would be
complete without a visit to the mountains of the interior, to one of the
important temples such as Tanah Lot, Uluwatu or Besakih, or to the art markets
of Ubud or Sukawati.
Talk to your butler about an itinerary that will cover the place you’re
interested in seeing.
In addition there are many other activities you might consider. These include:
Golf (The world-famous Greg Norman designed Nirwana course is just 3.5 km north
west of Villa Sound Of Sea.)
Diving
Mountain-biking
White-water rafting
Trekking
Horse-back riding
Yoga
Surfing (including learn to surf lessons)
Island tours on a Harley-Davidson
Sightseeing by helicopter
Weddings & Events
Sound of the Sea, with its spacious rooms and gardens, is an ideal venue for
that special event – a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday celebration, or just
a great party.
There’s more than enough room to seat up to 60 guests for a sit-down dinner. Up
to 200 can enjoy cocktails and canapés. If you have your own event organiser,
we’re happy to work them. If you’d like us to recommend someone to assist you,
we’ll provide you with some local contacts.
For corporate events, such as a weekend off-site or MICE for top-performers,
Sound of the Sea makes sense.
Because of Sound of the Sea’s relationship with Pantai Lima, an estate of
adjoining super luxury villas, there are a total of 26 double bedrooms
available, as well as a large seminar room with the very latest in High
Definition projector systems.
All prices are subject to a 15% government tax and service charge
