The Estate
Villa Aman d’Surga is nestled in 1,500 sq m tropical gardens offering extensive
rest and relaxation options and providing a real feeling of space and peace.
Located on a very gentle sloping hill, the design of the compound maximizes
sunlight around the swimming pool area, whilst providing large covered airy
living areas for rest and relaxation.
The main Pavilion, with its high ceilings, houses the Main Living room and
Dinning Room overlooking the swimming pool, central gardens and the gazebo. The
modern kitchen is fully equipped to meet the needs of even the most demanding
chef.
A Toraja style Gazebo is a chill out area at the foot of the garden that
provides delightful views of the carefully carved rice fields that borders the
villa. An excellent location to enjoy a book, afternoon tea, an evening cocktail
whilst being massaged by the ever present breeze.
The three bedrooms are set in a typical Balinese pavilion lay-out and enjoy
views over the rice fields and the 15 meter long salt water swimming pool that
is suitable for laps or cool enjoyment for the less active. The swimming pools
and the surrounding deck, is equipped with sun-loungers, and benefits from
sunlight throughout the day. Enhancing the swimming pool experience is an
outside shower, all with views over the surrounding rice terraces.
GARDENS
The villa enjoys numerous different garden areas, all gardens are landscaped
with over 3000 tropical plants, providing a bright and colourful environment
during the day, and through extensive creative lighting well into the night.
This tropical setting is complemented by selected Balinese and Indonesian
statues, large scale pottery and lily ponds
SWIMMING POOL
The large 15 meter environmentally friendly “salt water” swimming pool does away
with the requirement for harsh chemicals; this adds to the swimming experience
and is gentler on the body and eyes allowing for longer periods of swimming
enjoyment.
BEDROOMS
Individually air-conditioned, each of the 3 spacious bedrooms is unique in its
design, to maximize the value of its location and surrounds. All enjoy large
en-suite bathrooms with “rain forest” showers; the master bathroom also has a
double bath overlooking the rice fields.
LIVING and DINING.
The stunning living and dining pavilion at Villa Aman d’Surga is a 72 m˛ open
style Balinese “Bale” with typical “Alang Alang” thatched roof designed for
relaxation and entertainment that provides optimum enjoyment of the wonderful
unforgettable rice field and sunset views. The pavilion with its high natural
“alang alang” grass ceiling, the tall supporting columns and the cool cream
terrazzo paved floors is the very essence of tropical living. Overhead ceiling
fans and gentle breezes keep everyone cool and the ample lounge area seating
assures that there is room for everyone to relax, even take an afternoon nap in
the large day-bed. The 3 meter antique wood dining table for 12 makes for easy
and elegant dining.
