Villa embraces all they love about being in Bali. The villa's design combines
traditional Balinese architecture with clean modern lines, numerous indoor and
outdoor spaces that allow groups to gather but also allow the privacy to get
away from everyone and everything. Set in almost an acre of wonderful tropical
gardens overlooking the rice fields, the villa is a short walk from the beach
and a short drive to the chic restaurants and bars of Seminyak; close to the
excitement of Bali but far enough away to ensure a traditional Balinese
experience.
Designed in partnership with internationally renowned architect Glenn Parker,
Bendega Villa respects the style, proportion and symmetry of traditional
Balinese architecture within a modern tropical design. Built as a series of five
pavilions totalling almost 1,000 m2 and constructed with uncompromising
attention to detail, the villa is finished with the highest quality materials
including Indonesian hardwood floors, Balinese ceramics, Indian sandstone and
Italian travertine, chosen for their natural beauty and durability.
Bendega Villa offers plenty of private spaces to get away from it all and
unwind. The four large bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and private
balconies, are positioned to capture stunning views. A reading gazebo, a gym and
massage room with outdoor bath, a library with 50-inch plasma TV, a games room
complete with pool table, and a sun deck hidden below the pool provide ample
opportunities for relaxation. For getting groups together, the villa has a
stunning open sitting area that overlooks the rice fields, a separate
air-conditioned dining room with a table that seats up to 20, a pool pavilion
with outdoor dining for 10 and an 11m x 11m infinity-edge pool, both situated to
catch the fabulous Bali sunsets.
The villa's contemporary design is enhanced, outside and in, with thoughtfully
chosen Balinese and Javanese sculptures, cabinets and artifacts – many of them
antique – as well as bright floral fabrics and custom-printed traditional ikat
textiles that bring the stylish dark-wood furniture to vivid life.
State-of-the-art facilities include a Sonos digital music system that can be
programmed to match musical moods in several different 'zones', a modern
kitchen, satellite television and DVD players and air conditioning in all the
indoor areas.
The extensive gardens surrounding Bendega Villa are laid out as a series of
courtyards separated by the pavilions, three large koi-filled ponds and two
large lawns. The gardens are dotted with frangipani, oil palms, jasmine, yuccas,
African tulip trees and an abundance of tropical fruit.
Finally, a dedicated, discreet team of staff, including an excellent chef, are
on hand to look after visitors with wide smiles and willing service, leaving you
free to indulge in the special charm and beauty of Bali.

Guests have full access to the prestigious Canggu Club for the duration of their
stay at Bendega Villas. The Canggu Club is Bali premier international members
club, providing first class facilities that include a Restaurant, Bar and

Squash courts, 25meter swimming pool, Gym fitness and aerobics centre, Indoor
sports hall, Sauna, and a Billiard lounge.
Each of Bendega four bedrooms can comfortably accommodate a maximum of two
guests per room. The villa's nightly tariff represents the cost per night for a

Location
Surrounded by terraced rice fields and only five minutes' walk from the beach
and the extraordinarily romantic Hotel Tugu, Bendega Villas borders a small
fishing village of the same name in the district of Canggu, southwest Bali.
Despite its rural setting the villa is only 20 minutes' drive from the
restaurants and shops of cosmopolitan Seminyak, an hour from Bali's cultural
centre of Ubud, and 30 minutes from the international airport.
Staff
One of the greatest advantages of staying in a villa is the personal service
provided by a dedicated team of professional staff. With this in mind, the team
at Bendega Villa have been thoughtfully recruited according to their skills,
personality and (in many cases) membership of the local village community. Their
aim is to look after every villa guest – from toddler to grandparent – in true
Balinese style by understanding individual expectations and preferences. The
Villa Manager and Chef, in particular, will be only too delighted to discuss
your desires or concerns and do what they can to guarantee a relaxed and
enjoyable holiday.
Full time manager
Our villa manager, Harsana, is responsible for the overall operation of Bendega
Villa including staffing, special requests and guest satisfaction. He is fluent
in both English and Japanese.
Full time Chef
Our chef, Made, has had more than 10 years experience in both Asian and Western
cuisine. At the villa daily to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, he is happy
to accommodate any special requests or dietary needs. Dinner parties and other
special events can also be catered for.
Butlers
Four butlers attend daily to all cleaning and tidying requirements at Bendega
Villa. The same team are skilled waiters/waitresses and will assist the kitchen
at mealtimes.
Driver
A driver and seven-seater car are available to villa guests for up to 10 hours a
day (excluding petrol). Rates also include airport pick-up and drop-off.
Gardeners and pool attendants
The gardens and pool at Bendega Villa are tended daily.
Spa Staff/Masseuse
Off-site, fully-trained spa staff will visit the villa on request to provide a
range of spa and massage treatments.
Security
Bendega Villa is kept safe and secure 24 hours a day by security staff working
rotating shifts.
Wine & Dine
One of the great benefits of renting a villa is the option to relax and enjoy
delicious food – Asian and Western – prepared where and when they like. Bendega
Villa has a full-time chef trained who loves to delight villa guests with his
beautifully presented dishes – from roasted vegetable salads, to Balinese
chicken curry, to nasi goreng (fried rice), to steak and chips. His deserts are
not to be missed either – or his home-made jams and chutneys. He is happy to try
out new dishes and even to share his kitchen with guests – especially if they
can show him how to prepare their favourite dishes.
Daily breakfast is included in the villa rate and a range of menu suggestions
are available at the villa for lunch and dinner. Alternatively, menus can be
designed in consultation with the chef and villa manager. In this case, food and
other supplies will be purchased by the chef and charged to guests at cost plus
a provisioning fee with receipts will be provided either daily or at the end of
your stay. Please remember to discuss meals in advance (ideally 24 hours) to
allow the chef the time he needs to purchase and prepare for you.
Wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks are also available on request and will be
charged for at the end of your stay.
